hiragana na-ni-nu-ne-no

な na - It looks like a rope all tangled in a kNOt
なつ natsu - summer

に ni - It looks like a person sitting on his kNEEs (as seen from above) (ni, sideways n, side i)
なに nani - what
にし nishi - west
あに ani - brother

ぬ nu - looks like an "n" on top of a "u" (nu) (2 strokes)
いぬ inu - dog
しぬ shinu - die

ね ne - If you look carefully you will see a '1', '+' and a '2' but, NAY, no '3', looks like wa わ but with a squiggly -- for n's
ねつ netsu - fever
あね ane - elder sister

の no - It's a circle! NO it's almost a circle...
の - This means 'apostraphe S' (possession)
この - kono - this
